Mimaki DM2-1810 flatbed water-based inkjet printer for corrugaged cardboard packaging

I did not notice this printer at ISA 2006, and actually did not see the actual  printer at FESPA Digital either, but got a brochure there in Amsterdam, so I guess the printer was somewhere buried in the busy Mimaki booth. So many people attended both shows that you could not get a photo due to everyone standing in front of the printers.

My main surprise is that the Mimaki DM2-1810 is a water-based flatbed, not UV. But the Scitex Vision CORjet (HP Scitex FB6700) printer for corrugated packaging is water-based too. However a special version of the Mimaki DM2-1810 flatbed printer is available with solvent ink.

As soon as the Mimaki DM2 1810 is more easily available to inspect we will update our comments on this, on the HP Scitex FB6700 (CORjet), and on the Durst Rhopac.
